I found out that we are having a baby boy. I don't really like any of the typical themes and I didn't want anything to babyish. I like a funky style and after looking around a bit I was thinking about doing a cute monster theme. I love the ugly dolls, I think they would be adorable, but I am having trouble finding stuff like bedding and a rug, ect. It seems like for the monster theme the only thing I can find are stuffed animals. I saw that Target carried a few bedding options for a monster theme but I wasn't too crazy about any of them. I like turquoise and lime green as a starting color palate, but I am open to change. Has anyone seen any cute monster bedding or accessories around?
Re: Monster Nursery Theme
I hated all the nursery sets when I registered for DD (plus didn't want bumpers or a cheap quilt from those sets). I had a Finding Nemo nursery for DD so I just found wall clings at Home Depot, painted the walls fun bright colors, found a Nemo lamp, and bought fun/funky crib sheets and a neutral crib skirt and called it a day. Found a fun color block rug at Lowe's that she still has in her big girl room because it has a lot of bright colors (and its not tiny).

LOVE the idea of a monster theme! You could try this one...

Or you could just do solid/striped fabric in the colors that will coordinate with your stuffed monsters. That will probably be the easiest.
We're also doing somewhat of a modern monster theme- have the ugly dolls as well and my friend who is a graphic designer is making some monster graphic prints for us. For our bedding I kept it simple-

And I used a lime green sheet instead of the white one since our colors are lime green, black and white.
You could even go all ugly doll and have fun with that. Use these guys https://shop.uglydolls.com/products/category/Clip+On/322.0.1.1.74648.74609.0.0.0 and take the clips off and make a mobile out of them. It would be really easy to cut out the ugly doll shapes out of felt and just sew them onto the bottom of a plain crib skirt. You need a cute ugly doll pillow too! https://shop.uglydolls.com/products/category/322.0.1.1.84432.0.0.0.0
Also, do a search on some fabric sites for monster. I looked on google images too and some fun ones came up.
You could do something like this...

Thanks, all great ideas!! I am still looking for stuff, hopefully it will come together
