Can't wait to rock the adorable maternity summer clothes, and like theresa said, seeing the LO all bundled up and being able to enjoy the holidays with our new baby
I'm excited b/c it looks like baby will be born right before (or even possibly on!) my 31st birthday! (Though I am not looking forward to hot, sticky July in Chicago next year).
I'm most excited about not having to buy as many new clothes (if it was winter - sweaters, coats, etc.) and to have a LO around the holidays that will start being "fun"
I hate the summers in Maryland; I think it's horribly ironic that an Alaskan living in Maryland is going to be 40 weeks pregnant in that heat! Ha. But I am excited b/c no one in our families have birthdays around that time, so it will be extra special for our LO.
What makes you most excited about delivering in August?
For me, I am happy to eat as much ice cream as I want and not worry about how 'fat' I get. ; )
I am also happy to go to the pool in maternity gear, and not worry about having the perfect bod.
I like your answers, Eesome! I'm excited because it's a great time of the year for us since DH teaches. It also gives me a definite date to be finished with graduate school!

I have always wanted an August baby. Both my sister and I were born in August, her daughter was born on August 6th of this year which is my due date, and all our cousins are August babies as well. My family seems to prefer August, and I'm so happy it worked out for me as well! I'm August 2nd, so I'm hoping for an early birthday gift!
As far as the weather goes, I'm not too worried. This summer was really cool in San Diego, I can't remember the last time it was warm enough to actually lay out on the beach! As long as it stays in the 60s/70s, I'll be fine!
As a benefit of being due in August (and living in the South) I'm hopeful that I will be able to get away with buying only spring/summer maternity clothes.
I'm also thrilled to cram another August birthday into my family - my dad, sister and 2 brother-in-laws also have August birthdays. It's been a big month in my family for quite some time!

I'm just happy that I have a chance to get my take home baby in August. I'm due about a week before my 35th birthday, so I'm hoping that I'll have something happy to have then!
BFP#1 4/17/10...EDD 1/6/11...M/C 5/28/10
BFP#2 11/19/10...EDD 8/4/11
Squeaker born 7/30.
I am glad that, if everything works out, my kids will be 2 years apart in school. If we had got pg a month later, they would have been another year apart.
I am also a late summer baby (I turn 30 two weeks before my EDD) and I grew up with pool birthday parties. I'm excited that my LO will get to experience that!

Early birthday present!!! ) I'm due August 10th, and my Birthday is August 19th. Also my sister was due August 9th this year, but my niece was born July 30th. Either way, the cousins will only be about a year apart in age! Oh, and I too will be enjoying the mild San Diego county weather next summer! )
Re: Hi August Mommies-to-be! A poll:
This! A pool is amazing when I'm huge and uncomfortable
I love the summer, I am so excited for it!

YES! So many cute summer clothes!
1. ICE CREAM!
2. Baby's First Christmas stuff!
Hey! I accidently clicked on the wrong August board. Didn't know you guys had one up yet.
May I answer? I think the best things about being due in August are cuter maternity clothes, and LO gets a summer birthday party.
Congrats to you all!!!
Hi! I'm new here. Just got a BFP yesterday.
I'm looking forward to wearing cute maternity summer dresses.
I would love to go swimming too, but where I live there aren't very many pools.
