38 weeks appointment - FAIL

0cm dialated. %0 effacement. She hasn't dropped at all. Awesome. I have been telling everyone she isn't coming early but no one believed me.

    Me too. I'm really, really hoping for signs of progress but fear there's nothing going on down there.

    Don't be upset. It can happen SUPER fast!! With DS at my 39 week visit I was closed tight, that evening, I lost my m/p and was having contractions and 2 days later went into full labor. So, it can happen!

    But hey, some people have been walking around dilated for weeks!  I don't actually think it matters!  You could go into labor sooner than someone who is dilated and effaced, right?

    Baby comes when it comes!

    I'm sorry "D".  Are you still on bedrest?  Maybe you can ask if you can be off now since you're almost due. 

    I have been 2 cm dialated and 80% effaced baby is at station -1...for over a week now.  It's like my progress froze.  We'll see.  Hopefully your next appt. will show more progress :)

    No worries - I'm right there with ya.  I've got nothin', no dilation, no effacement, nada.  Baby will come when s/he comes, the internals are just a mean way to tease us with tiny bits of information.

    I agree. Maybe I should tell my OB I don't want to know what's going on?!

    I have my first internal today. I'm sort of nervous. I'm of course hoping to hear my body has progressed in SOME way, but I'm not holding my breath for it! 

    I agree with others, just because there isn't any progression now doesn't mean you can't have the baby very soon!!! Here's hoping to baby coming sooner rather than later. ;)

    I am. I told her I had been walking a little though and at the end of the visit she told me to keep with what I've been doing. So I'm assuming that means I can keep walking.

    The only reason I got checked was because I left it up to my DH. I didn't know how much it hurt! Ouchie! I cried when it was over.
