June 2011 Moms

I thought m/s was supposed to get better...

the closer you get to 2nd tri?  Today has been awful.  I generally have only felt sick, but not been throwing up.  This morning, I barely made it to work because I was throwing up so much.  I'm back at home now working from home for the rest of the day.

Is this a common complaint?  Anyone else hitting/hit bottom around 11 weeks?

  • I didn't hit bottom at 11 weeks, but I can say that the m/s is still in full force. Weeks 8-9 were probably my worst. Now, I'm queasy less often but throwing up more often. My doctor said 12-14 weeks is when most women come out of it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm nearing the end.

  • I'm still feeling nauseous but having some good days now so I'm hopeful it will end soon.  I've had several people (including my doctor's office) tell me things improve between 12-14 weeks.  This Friday is 14 weeks so I expect to wake up feeling perfect. Wink

  • I felt terrible from week 5 to about week 10.5.  I'm finally feeling better, and hoping that it will last!  I hope today is just a fluke for you!

  • I felt terrible until 12 1/2 weeks.  It really kicked into gear around week 11.  I feel great now.

  • I started feel better around weeks 10-11, but yesterday (at almost 14) I started feeling awful again.  Who knows...

  • Weeks 6.5 -11 I was wondering why I decided to get pregnant. I didn't throw up but I had horrible chronic nausea.  Then all of the sudden at week 11 it started to improve. Can't say I feel great. I'm still super sleepy and now I'm having fun burping up stomach acid every night but generally speaking it has been a major improvement, enough that I'm able to be happy about the pregnancy.

So, hang in there, I suspect even if your m/s doesn't go away completely, it will stop being so awful very soon.

  • 11 weeks was a rough week for me, too.  Morning sickness is no joke!  Hang in there and hopefully you will be feeling better soon.
  • The last two weeks have been my worst yet...I didn't start actually vomiting (instead of just heaving) until week 10 Tongue Tied Hopefully it's over soon!

  • I am halfway through week 13 and the nausea and vomiting are almost worse than ever. I didn't start vomiting until the beginning of week 8, and it has been nonstop since then. I sure hope it starts getting better soon.
  • I had a break in week 9, but it came back in week 10. I have 'good days' and crappy days. Saturday was awesome but Sunday and Monday were awful. I am having THE BEST day I have had since I was 5 weeks pregnant. I WANT to go run MILES... I'm just waiting for tomorrow to be the exact opposite.

The only difference is I got A LOT of sleep last night. I used a floor fan for the white noise and slept 10 hours. It was FANTASTIC. I know I woke up to pee a few times, but I went right back to sleep. Maybe sleep is the key? It sounds too simple...

  • Week 11 was the worst of them all for me.  Couldnt keep my head out of the toilet.  Week 12 has been a little bit better.

  • This time isn't too bad for me; however, with my DD I was REALLY sick all the way up to 20 weeks. Hang in there!
