Writing Companies for Coupons

If you've done this, which companies have been the most "lucrative," coupon-wise?

Re: Writing Companies for Coupons

  • Instead of looking for any coupon/company. Really look at what you use most often- and write to them.

Because you can write to/email 20 companies but if you really dont need/use their product it really isn't saving you money.

So look at what you use the most- find the parent company and then write them.

I have a list of companies that i use a lot and the email address to each one. I will look for it on my PC and post it when i get a chance.

  • Butting in here... When you do this, what do you say?  I have thought about writing for coupons, but I don't even know what to say.  Anyone have a sample letter?  I know it's not rocket science, but if I sit down and try to formulate an e-mail, it may not be worth all the time it will take me.
  • Sounds great, Stacy!

    "Dear So-and-So,

I just wanted to write and let you know how much I enjoy your glass cleaner. We have tried others but were always disappointed with the results and yours works perfectly everytime!  Thank you so much for putting out such a quality product.  Would it be possible for you to mail me a coupon for future purchases?"

  • Thanks, MtoJ!  I appreciate it!
  • Sure thing!  It's totally hit or miss with the company and also sometimes with the rep who responds.

  • I have only done it a few times, and not in a while, but I emailed One A Day about their prenatal vitamins, and they sent me a coupon for a free bottle.  I was pretty excited about that one!  :-)
