I <3 DH

DH has picked up a lot of my slack due to my nausea, tiredness, and frequent headaches (some even migraines).  I try to be a tough cookie, but I have had some emotional outbursts/breakdowns because I feel so useless and icky...

anyway DH cooks, cleans, and does laundry... and he really likes the cooking part :) And he has been great about playing with DD and giving me a little down time each day.

And today I came to work and on my desk was a bouquet of flowers... 3 roses for our 3 years of marriage and 2 calla lillies for our 2 babies :)  and he remembered that roses and calla lillies made up my bridal bouquet... ! <3:)

Gosh, I'm a lucky girl.  I love my guy.  Has your DH done anything above and beyond lately? ... I hope so!

  • Very nice, DH cooked dinner one night last week because I was busy with other stuff (that's huge for him, he hates touching raw meat).  And just the fact that he acknowledges that he understands how tired I am has made me feel better.  There's no pressure from him to do anything.
  • Aww your DH sounds wonderfully considerate.

Mine was slow to react but when the m/s hit and I stopped eating and turned into a zombie, he began cooking 3 meals a day - packing my breakfast and lunch for me to take to work.  And I'm high maintenance - we're not talking cereal and milk - we're talking smoothies, veggie omelettes, etc. He also makes me a pot of ginger tea everyday to help deal with the nausea, and packs a bottle of that as well.  AND on top of all that he drives me to work every a.m. so I won't have to walk to the bus, exhausting myself before my day even begins.
