Safe cold medicines

Are there any cold medicines that are safe to take while BF? I have had a cold for the last few days and am miserable, but have been reluctant to take anything.

    LC said benadryl was okay.  No to sudafed.  Nettie pot helped as well as a humidifier.  Being sick stinks.  Hang in there!  Keep an eye on your supply after you take anything to see if there is an effect.  The hope is that you can at least get some rest and that will counteract any neg effect.

    Thank you, ladies.  My symptoms are mainly just head congestion, sneezing, and sore throat.  I do not have cough or fever yet.  I hadn't even thought about it affecting milk supply, so I am glad that  you brought that up!

    My family dr also recommended regular Mucinex.
