So sad - I have to go into the vet tomorrow to have a talk about my dogs quality of life. She has awful hips and can barely move...but she seems happy to me. I can't make that decision! I have had her since I was in college 11 years ago. I feel so guilty b/c I know we haven't been paying as much attention to her as we did before the babies got here
Sorry to post to a bunch of internet strangers but DH is out of town, babies asleep, and I am sad!
Re: uggghhh - my dog
My DH and I have to make that decision on our dog soon too. He has a tumor on his kidney and has been losing weight rapidly. He looks like skin and bones right now, although he's acting like nothing's wrong. DH adopted this dog 8 years before I met him and I'm leaving the decision of "when" to him. It makes me so sad to look at him, especially when he looks at us with his big brown eyes.
Good luck to your little pup too! It sucks, but I have to remind myself that it is our pet.Reading some of the stories on this board about peoples sick babies and other sad stuff really does put this into perspective.
