LOL - Ill join this club... I have really bad sciatic pain at times, particularly when im stretching with the kids at cheerleading practice, if im on my feet for extended periods, or if im doing alot of bending (ie - raking leaves a few weeks ago)
I asked the doc about it today, and she said that there is a good chance that it will get worse as my weight increasees, and uterus expands... she recommended stretching, as well as alternating cold/heat compresses... i also think im going to get a foam roll, and roll it out when it hurts (I LOVED using the foam roll at my gym after I was sore from a workout!)
Oh my goodness! The back pain seems to be never ending! Ive always had a slight back pain because of my boobs, but after getting pregnant its upper/middle and lower back pain that is constantly hurting me! Really all I do is relax in the tub, which I cant even make that hot bc of pregnancy, so its not THAT helpful. Im right there with you on the back pain though, I feel like a 95 year old woman hahah
I'm starting to have some lower back pain again too. I had a really bad back with my babies, and saw a chiropractor for most of my pregnancy. If you can go that route, I really recommend it!

agreed! no personal experience here but a friend at work has really bad chronic back pain now and her docs think it started years ago when she was pregnant and her discs got all out of whack. ouch!
Ugh! I'm right there with you ladies! My lower back and my hip/pelvic bones are hurting a little. It was pretty bad last week but has let up a little (thank goodness).

I'm a chiropractor and a huge chunk of my practice is made up of pregnant women. As your posture changes as your uterus grows, many women experience pain or discomfort. Chiropractic does a great job of treating pain brought on by musculoskeletal changes during pregnancy. I suggest finding a chiropractor who is certified or trained in Webster technique. It's a technique used specifically on pregnant women. For more information or to find a Webster certified chiropractor, check out the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. Hope that helps.
