Stupid Skin Vent (NBR)

I have always had very dry, sensitive skin. I was diagnosed with eczema at a young age and have always struggled. Much to my delight, my skin was PERFECT during pregnancy. Now that I'm not pregnant and heading into winter, my skin has decided to make up for all the good time I had in the past few months. It has never been this bad! I don't get the rough, red patches or lesions (not that type of eczema). Instead, I get unending, incredibly itchy skin. It isn't an itch you can ignore. I honestly draw blood. (I have super short nails and still manage to break the skin.) It's so bad that I itch in my sleep! I am just so tired of taking lukewarm 2 minute showers, having to coat my body in hydro-cortisone creams and oily ointments, and not having pretty skin. Sadly, the type of eczema I have has very little in the way of treatment. Sigh. I have to go coat myself in Crisco now. (Yes, seriously.)
