So, DH and I have finally kinda sorta maybe but not sure picked out a name(s)... Neither name we have 'chosen' are what we would consider run of the mill, and we're ok with that (that's actually what we're looking for). But now we can't decide which name we like for the first name, and which for the middle name...
ok, so here we go... we have the name Gage, and the name Thorsten (which if we used as a first name we would probably call him Thor).
DH is mostly German, as is our last name: Thorsten is the name of someone that DH and I met on our honeymoon from Germany, and we just love the name.
Gage is the name of the little boy from Pet Cemetery (kinda creepy, but I still love it).
My question is: what name would you use as the fist and the middle?
Thanks for the input!
Re: First/Middle Name order debate... HELP!
we are def leaning to use Gage as the first name (it's been my first choice since we found out it's a boy), but I know DH loves the name Thorsten, so that's why I'm stuck...
We would pronounce it with the 'TH' sound - I don't mind a German name, but I feel like we should stick with American English pronunciation... DH agreed with that part.
THORSTON GAGE 100%. DH even said, "it works better that way". Plus there are 900 Gage's compared to Thor's.
Love it. Love how it's different, and I love how there's a story behind the name.
This!!
Well, I wanted to, but I seriously have no clue how, and my patience wear thin quickly these days, so I decided it wasn't worth a crying fit trying to figure out how...
While I'm not a fan of the nickname Thor, I think Thorsten Gage flows much better than Gage Thorsten.
And LOL to this!
