iphone/leapster question

I know very little about these Leapster things, but I'm intrigued.  My concern is that after being spoiled by the apps on my iPhone, will my kids have any interest in the Leapster?  Or will I be wasting my money?

    I don't have an Iphone, but we do have an Ipad and DS plays games on there, but only once in awhile.  It's my husband's Ipad and it's a treat to play on there.  So, he does use his Leapster quite a bit, esp in the car.  I don't really mind that because they are educational games, learning letters and other things.  He seems to enjoy it and still plays with it a year later.

    We have an ipod, leapster and tag reader.  2 kids, lots of options (we all use the ipod).  I like it that way, we rarely have fights over things.
