those who had a c-section

this was my 2nd section and this time one side of my stomach is still very tender.  i'm 6 days post surgery and was wondering if this could be my uterus still swollen?  or has it already shrunk back significantly?  i can't even lay on my left side b/c it feels heavy.  when the nurse was feeling my stomach, she asked me if that was the side the baby sat on.  i was wondering if it was somehow connected to the pain.

i don't wanna be a worry wart and call the doctor and go in after one week home.

I'm sure your uterus has already gone way back down, or they would have been concerned before you left the hospital. It is probably just normal recovery pain, but if you are concerned you should call the OB.

If you're concerned, call.  What do you have to lose?

This was my second c/s too, and recovery has been tougher this time around.  DD is 5 weeks and I still have some pain every now and then where I was back to 'normal' within a week of my first.

I would give your doctor a call tomorrow morning just to check if it is worrying you.  After I went in to have my staples removed from my C, the doctor made sure I knew that I just had major surgery and if I had any questions or concerns before my 6 week check up that they were there for me.
