trying to do own diaper sprayer...

and it's NOT WORKING!!!! I used this tutorial and there just are not enough pictures and explanation for me. I liked this one in particular because it doesn't have you cutting tubing and stuff. It's all "screw this in, screw that in, voila..." but the sizes are all wonky. Pretty sure we got the right pieces too. All of the packages say the sizes and things that the tutorial says. Maybe I'm just a fool but it's going to be about $30 to build our own. It's, what, $45 to buy the bumgenius one. It's looking better and better to me now. I'm so frustrated. I had to walk away for a bit. (and complain on the nest)

thanks for the vent

  • I bought a used one on diaper swappers for $20-25 ppd. I'd check there!

  • Turns out that it takes to "classes" of stuff. 1/4 inch does not always mean 1/4 inch apparently. I boxed and bagged everything back up and did a "buy it now" sprayer on eBay.

  • My mom said she would just dunk cloth diapers in the toilet and then put them in a bucket of soap and water to soak until she was ready to wash a load. (Pre-sprayer erra of course!)
