It's been over 24hours and no BM

 Just wondering if I should be concerned. My baby is over two weeks old, she is breastfeeding nonstop and having plenty of pee diapers but no poop. The last time she had a BM was Thursday evening. She's acting normal, doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. I have a call into the Doctor and just waiting for a call back. Anyone know whats going on?

You can always call, but sometimes they do get a little constipation.

My ped says it's totally normal for a EBF baby to go without pooping as long as they are not uncomfortable. They say that BM is so full of good stuff, most of it is absorbed and very little wasted. My son hasn't crapped since thursday...

unless your baby has something else going on a healthy normal EBF baby does not get constipated, BM is a natural laxative, that being said some BF babies can go up to 10 days without pooping!!

Joy went three days before she FINALLY went poop yesterday.  She was fine otherwise.

My little guy usually only poops every other day... sometimes longer than that.  It's normal as long as they arent uncomfortable.  My Dr said they will poop when they need to, dont worry about it.

My son was going on over 2 days without going.  I had just called my doctor about it yesterday and she said he can go up to a week without going and as long as he seems comfortable it is fine.  He finally went today.

My pedi also said EBF babies can go for awhile.  She saw one case where the baby went 21 days, and was fine.  She said as long as the consistency of the poop isn't showing signs of constipation and there is no sign of blood, there is nothing to worry about.

Ditto this. Happened to DD around the 2 week mark with a growth spurt, and again at 4 weeks. Nurse told me she'd gear up for a giant poop....and she did

My pedi told me to call after 4 days. If you're concerned, try taking a rectal temp; it will help to encourage!
