Trouble TTC

First clomid cycle = BFN

My first clomid cycle was a bust!  AF showed on Thanksgiving morning.  But I am actually not at all upset and and I excited to give it another try next month.   I responded well to 50mg - so I'll be doing that again this cycle.  It's nice to know that I actually ovulated.   The worst part is that this is my first real period since I wasn't ovulating before - they were really light - and just let me say that this one sucks!

So on to round 2 - I should know by Christmas day if this cycle works!  :)

  • GL next cycle.  Way to keep posiyive for next cycle.  I also noticed a change in my flow when I started clomid, they were a bit heavier and more painful.

It's nice to hear you are staying positive. Best of luck with this cycle.

Would you mind sharing any other side effects besides the heavy period? I know you said it well, but was there anything else you noticed different? I'm waiting on my test results and my doctor did mention the Clomid as a possibility if necessary.... just curious.

I didn't notice any side effects from the clomid while I was taking it - but many people get hot flashes.   The metformin upset my stomach - but I seem to be getting used to it now.    But the clomid really worked - the cycle where I was getting tested my CD 21 progesterone was 1.2 (meaning I didn't ovulate) and on clomid my progesterone was 17 (meaning that I did ovulate).

    GL to you too!

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Hi there,

I have PCOS, I am 27 years old and took 6 round of clomid starting with 50mg-100 mg, then I stopped taking and 3 months later got pregnant. :) Good Luck!! Don't give up but my advice, relax don't think about it and it will happen.
