Anyone else working today?

For the first time ever in a professional job, I have to work the day after Thanksgiving. I know some people do it every year, but I used every ounce of my accrued leave when DS was born and didn't go back until last month, so I have to save every hour I'm earning so I can take two days off at Christmas. There's only a couple other people from my office working today, and I'm teleworking, but it's a challenge to get my hours in when I keep getting distracted looking for a couple gifts and things DS needs online.

No but only because I called in sick - not entirely true, but a good foundation in truth (I'm not sick but we do have the plague in the house).

Where I work, it's a completely valid use of sick leave to care for a sick family member Smile

If a child is sick it is ok to call in sick!

DH is working today and has every year of his family residency, at least we have a reason to not say at the IL's last night. For Christmas we don't have a reason to not stay the night other then we don't want to.

I'm at work. It sucks. It's pretty dead here. All my contacts outside the agency are closed so no real billable work is getting done. I'm just catching up on paperwork. I hope to leave at lunch and sneek out of a movie this afternoon w/ one of my BFFs. It's not so bad to work half a day and not have to be docked a full day of leave. But it sucked this morning.
