Eco-Friendly Family

Anyone still around?

i'm the only one in my house awake.  DS & DH are both snoozing.  Had a nice day, but would have liked to have ended it with DH rather than with the computer and hulu...

How were your Thanksgivings?  Anyone waiting up for a Black Friday deal (um, I may be...  one of the only times ever, but this is about the hour I catch my 2nd wind anyway!).

Re: Anyone still around?

  • I'm just checking in for a minute.  It's only 6:30 here but we're done eating & cleaning up.  The boys are playing with their cousins and the adults are just lounging around.  The kids skipped nap today and already bathed this morning so I'll probably be sending them to bed in the next 45 minutes or so.

No black Friday sales for me - I don't really need anything.  Most of our gifts are handmade & I really can't think of anything else we'd need.  Although, I might check out CD sales because I'm buying my BF CD's for her baby shower next month.  I already bought a few from Banana Peels last week though.  :)

    GL with your shopping!

  • I'm here too!  All my boys are in bed as well.  I'm staying up for the start of the sales at midnight.  All I'm really getting are some pedipeds at this point I think.

We had a really nice day together.  DH and I were getting along well.  It was kinda a relaxed, lazy day though still productive and got to see family.  The only downer though was that Eli has a really bad cold.  He doesn't usually get knocked down being sick but he was today so that had me pretty sad for him.  Hate to see my baby hurting :-(  Hopefully he'll get some good sleep tonight and start feeling better tomorrow.  Evan has it too but he was still in good spirits...fingers crossed for him to sleep tonight as well.

  • Thanks! :)  It will be limited to detergent, but I'm still excited!  We skipped naps here, too (and by naps I mean mine and DS's - I could so have used one!).

  • boo on the cold.  I hope tomorrow is better for him.  :(

Any good sale on shoes around that you're specifically looking into (hey - I've got time!...  speaking of which,  I should go grab my knitting.

  • I'm here.  We actually didn't have our Thanksgiving dinner yet because my brother had to work.  He's a firefighter.  So, tomorrow we'll be doing our dinner.  Today was spent playing with DS, putting up Christmas lights outside, and going for a nice walk this evening.  I keep joking that I'm going to go into labor tomorrow morning since my mom has been getting everything ready for tomorrow for the past 2 days. :)

  • *chuckle*  I await the announcement that you're going to the hospital, MrsD!

The L&D nurse who taught the class we took when we were pg with DS actually sat through Thanksgiving dinner having contractions - maybe you'll have a similar story.  :)

I've been looking for an actual pediped sale but haven't found any.  I was just going to order through Abbys Lane since I like their site and I'll atleast get a little extra off.  I might try to do some googling to see if I can find a better deal since I have some time.  Let me know if you see anything.  I've been keeping my eyes open for Rockin Green but haven't seen much on that either, except for that one mention on diaper pin.

  • For ROckin Green, there are a few.  Abby's lane has an amount off.  Depending on how much your buying and shipping costs, Rockin Green is actually doing a $10 a bag sale (but wow - their shipping!!!) midnight to 8. There were a few others, but those were the two that seemed to work out the best.

I'm sorry...I meant that I was keeping my eyes open for Rockin Green because I knew you were looking for it.  I myself love Planet :-)

  • I'm around.  Getting ready for bed.  Have to work half day tomorrow (in the morning) so no shopping for me.  I'm thinking I'm going to try to buy some RnG when I get up in the morning b/c I'm sure as heck not staying awake for it!  The RnG website has a special holiday bundle for $45 that I'd like to buy, but if they are sold out of that, I might just buy a few bags of detergent from Kelly's Closet... maybe I can find a diaper or two to buy as well ;)

The only other shopping I'm waiting to do is online at Joann.  Hopefully their website will work a lot better than it did last year (I never did make it to checkout) and I really, really want this die-cutter on sale (the Slice - it sounds so cool).   Anyway, that sale isn't until Saturday and I just might wait up until midnight tomorrow to get it.  We'll see.

Had a mostly nice day.  Ate a ton.  Very tired.  Night, night EFFers!

  • I'm here, listening to the Trans Siberian Orchestra (sp?), just finished up the black Friday sales on Gymboree & Gap, organized my coupons and ads for tomorrow (mostly JoAnn's for decor for our remodeled bedroom), debating on knitting, all while knowing I *should* finish washing dishes.

We had a nice day.  Dinner was good, leftovers were better, and DH & I only butted heads once over me shopping tomorrow (he thinks people who like to shop on Black Friday are idiots).

I should probably finish sewing a couple things too, tonight.  Maybe.

    One funny for today:

I slept in, & DH woke me up at 10am saying, "Hey.  I was just dreaming about eating turkey!"

I looked at the clock, and got out of bed.  DH then looked at the clock and got all excited, and says, "I thought you said we are eating at 2:30pm?!  It's 10am!  The turkey won't be ready on time!"

I laughed the whole way down stairs, and put the turkey in the oven at 11:30am.  We all sat down at the table at 2:25pm.  The turkey was ready.

The Slice IS cool!  There's one at my local scrapbook shop, and I've played with it quite a bit.  Still prefer my Cricut, but for someone who prefers something small, the slice is the way to go.

  • I'm around on account that we just ate and DH went straight to medical terminology homework and R is passed out in his swing. I had enough time to call my mom and sisters though (we're having Thanksgiving on Sunday).

But it was pretty good, all-in-all. R provided commentary (coos, etc) the whole meal... I'm still eying the rest of that stuffing though. Midnight snack, maybe.

We're not doing the whole black Friday thing, I ordered most of my Christmas shopping list already. What are you waiting for?

  • I'm waiting for $10 Rockin' Green bags.  want to try it out for myself.  I'm starting to fade, though... so we'll see.  The deal is midnight to 8 am, and there's no way I will be online before 8 am tomorrow.  2 hrs to go...  Hopefully my grilled cheese will wake me up (hey - we finished dinner about 5 1/2 hours ago!).  :)

  • I'm here all day but it's quiet. I've been attached to an upset teething baby all day.

Is it midnight CST, ot EST?  If it's EST, then you only have 50 minutes to go!
