Honestly? DH just sits back, shuts up, and offers an opinion only when (if) he's asked when it comes to gifts (Christmas or otherwise) for Muffin or my stepdaughters. He's smart like that.
We agree. We're both on the uptight side: no video games, more real wood and less plastic...Also we both know we have a super small house so we don't want a lot of stuff taking up space.
Sometimes. This year, Adam wants drums, so I went and got him a set even though DH had said no way. He saw them in the closet and had a decent sense of humor about them.
We largely agree. Dh has vetoed a few "less manly" toys for Ds. I try to respect that.
This year we've agreed to put some money in DS's savings account in liu of gifts, because he's already got tons of toys and clothes, and his grandparents on both sides go overboard.

I bought GoGo for Grace. Dh isn't crazy about it but he knows she wants it. He generally hates how toys these days have to be so complicated. He said this morning, "all I had was a bat, a ball and some Ninja Turtles". My dh is sort of a curmudgeon.
Just remind dh that his parents probably hated all the gifts they had to buy for him too but Christmas for kids is about wonder and imagination and the spirit of giving. Let her have GoGo!
I want to get dd a small chair with her name on it, since she loves the one our friends have for their LO. DH said if we get her one, we have to get ds one. I said no, he got a big beanbag last year and he's too big for the chair. For whatever reason we cannot agree on this!!

Who cares if he thinks it's stupid. Is he going to play with it?
I don't get men sometimes. Just get her the pup and tell DH that he doesn't have to walk it. LOL...
Half the time DH doesn't even know what I got the kids until he helps me wrap it on Christmas Eve.
