Chocolate

I am on a diet, but I crave chocolate every night.  Is there a way I can give into this craving without cheating on my diet too much?

Re: Chocolate

  • Just have a little bit. It won't hurt you. It's not good to deny yourself any certain type of food. You should be able to have everything in moderation, and make it a lifestyle, not just a diet.

  • I always like those minature bars- it's enough chocolate to satisfy a craving, but not enough to go crazy. I've heard dark chocolate is better for you, but in my opinion, it's just not the same. I will usually buy some and give to DH to hide, do when I want some I will gave to ask him for it. This way I'm not running to it and grabbing pieces on the way that "don't count.". But you may have a stronger willpower than me.

This. When I have a craving I allow myself a little. With something like chocolate I find that getting a good dark chocolate is decadent enough to last me quite a while.
