I have PUPPS and it blows. It's spreading like wildfire & I feel like I look like a freak show. The doc says the only hope is hydrocortozone creme until delivery when it will supposedly go away, but the creme doesn't do anything to help. My belly, boobs, armpits, and back are completely covered & my thighs & arms are spotty. I'm getting close to 37 weeks so I can just suck it up & deal with the itchying for another week or two, but my main concern is scaring! Will these suckers leave me covered in scars!? There are HUNDREDS of them & I'm so worried I'm going to look like a mess after this!
Re: PUPPS - Leaves scars?
I had them in my first pregnancy too(it only happens in 1st time pregnancies, yay!).
I didn't have any leftover scars and my arms, legs and feet were a war zone. Congrats on being 37 weeks. You're almost at the end of the rainbow! Enjoy your little one
I had it all over too and the only thing that started to help was the Grandpa's pine tar soap. It didn't leave any scarring and cleared up a day after delivery.
Also the creams did nothing for me. I would try not to lay in the same position too long bc getting hot would make it itchier and gold's bond powder helped. I would shower 3x a day with the soap and it helped ALOT.
I am sorry you have to experience this, I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy.
I had it pretty bad and have no scars either.
Sarna lotion and cold packs helped for temporary relief. Grandpa's pine tar soap and rainers soap/lotion also helped a little. I tried everything including steroids and the only thing that got rid of it was dandallion root pills. It took about a week to go away.
I am so sorry. It is just awful!!
Ugh, so sorry
Hydrocortisone is a joke.
I listed what worked for me in my blog HERE.
Since then, I've heard great things about Dandelion Root Extract working miracles.
I don't know how I escaped it because I usually scar badly and wasn't that great about not itching, but I didn't scar.
