In home daycare provider xmas gift ideas

Hi all,

Just thinking through gift ideas for our in-home daycare provider. DD is 6 months old so she has not been there that long. We were thinking of half week's pay or $80. Is that too much? too little? what is the norm? Help!

My kids go to an in-home daycare.  Last year we just had one there and I think we did a $50 gift card along with some Harry and David's chocolates.  This year we'll do a $75 gift card for two kids and some chocolates.

Just because we are tight for money this year, we will probably just give her some homemade cookies and possibly a homemade craft that my mom makes.

I work as a childcare provider and it's so nice to actually be acknowledged at Christmas, I think only one or two of our 14 parents usually give gifts so good job! Gift cards are good, or a salon service (pedicure, manicure, massage etc). I think anything is great though just because it's not always common.
