"Oh man! This is going to be a BIG baby...umm... I mean, he's not going to be itty-bitty..."
This was while she was feeling arounf for his position....GAH! I mean we knew he wouldn't be small (DS was 9lbs), but hearing it like that. I wish I could insert all her expression into a post. LOL
Re: What you don't want to hear your midwife say....
She could be wrong!
I'm freaked out about that a bit this time. I swear, I feel like baby has already run out of room in there!! I don't remember feeling elbows and knees this much this early last time (if that was in any way coherent).
Aww.
Yea I am hoping for a baby somewhere around C's weight (6 lbs 5 oz). Although if this baby hangs out longer he will probably be bigger...

This.
Your pelvis will be wider having already given birth too, so try not to stress!
Me too. I thought it was funny more than anything. However, she's not generally one to make predictions, so I thought it was a little strange.
They said that to me, sent me for a 36w u/s and they estimated he was about 7lbs at 36w (she estimated 8-9lbs) so she was WAY off, he came out 8lbs 12oz.
funny story 3 midwives in the practice, I had my appt in the morning and spent the day totally freaked out that I was having a giant and couldn't birth naturally due to the size (though she did say she birthed 2 10lb boys totally natural) then went on our maternity tour and 2nd midwife was there at the desk, I was chatting and told her the 10lber news and she's like yeah so what? I was so taken back, she's all thats no big deal 10lbs is the same as 9lbs don't freak out we'll work through it. I felt SO much better!
