Quick easy appetizer ideas?

I am having a few people over tomorrow night for DD's birthday. It will be all adults and then my 3 kids. I won't get home from work until 5:15 tomorrow and everyone is coming over at 6:30. I need stuff that is either just heat up and go, served cold or can be prepared ahead of time tonight. I am just looking to do probably 2 things. Any ideas? I'll also be serving cake and ice cream.

  • goat cheese marinara is super easy.  Just dump some goat cheese in a oven safe dish (herbed goat cheese is great for this) and cover with some marinara sauce.  heat til bubbly and serve with crustry bread.

pizza bread is easy too - refrigerated pizza dough, pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.  fold up, put in oven until brown on top and slice it up and serve

  • Pick up a loaf of rye bread from the bakery - the round kind. Cut a hole in the middle and stick in a tub of spinach dip. Rip or cut the cut-out part and put it around the loaf with some picks. Guests can rip off the bread to dip. Super easy and it goes fast every time I do it.

  • Bacon wrapped cocktail weenies. Secure with toothpick. Throw some brown sugar over them, and cook them in a crockpot. Yum....
  • Cheeseball and crackers (or Cheese Log):

    2 pkg (8oz) cream cheese
1 small Wispride cheddar cheese (or any spreadable cheddar)
dried minced onions dried chives (no idea on either how much - maybe Tbsp)
    dash of Tabasco

Let cream cheese and cheddar cheese soften and then mix with other ingredients (I've always done that by hand. Chill for a bit (over night?) Form into balls and rolls in chopped walnuts.  Serve with crackers.

     Can freeze them...they're fine.

We grill kielbasa in our family a lot.  Just cut it in bite-sized pieces and serve with a nice mustard and toothpicks.  The kids even like it b/c it tastes like hotdogs.
