How do you clean your stovetop?

I have a gas stove so it's not the flat top.

TIA!

  • I'm still not entirely sure how EF or non-EF they are but I make out great with a magic erasor...ours is a glass top but it should work the same on yours.

I also make out well with leaving a wet rag lay on a bad spot (sometimes even overnight) and it usually wipes away much easier...simple but effective!

  • Mostly just our vinegar/water solution.  I'll spray it on, and let the bad spots soak.  We have guards (I don't know what they're really called) around the burners (also gas) and we will take those off periodically and wash them w/ soap & water in the sink.  Same with the grates (again - don't know what to call them) that the pots & pans sit on.

  • DH somehow scrubbed them clean at some point, and then we put guards on.  We just wash those now!

  • We have an electric.

I wipe it off almost every night. That keeps big things from building up for the most part. I just use soapy water.

When we had a gas stove, I would take the top things and soak them in soapy water over night.
