So today I had to cancel my gym membership and I am really feeling unmotivated and pretty exhausted lately. Now my last hope is taking a walk during the day and doing Jillian during the day as well. I just feel like I am so behind in my fitness and weight

It is going to take me a long time to get back to where I was ppg. I guess I have to keep reminding myself that I need to workout for my health too....Jillian's 30DS says that you can lose 20 lbs in 30 days...I need some success stories.
Re: Does Jillian really work??
Don't push yourself too hard. I find that I always do much better when I don't put too much pressure on myself and don't focus so much on how much weight to lose.
I also cancelled my gym membership last month. I have done the 30DS, but have recently started to do No More Trouble Zones. 30DS is shorter, like 30 minutes and the trouble zones tape is about 55 minutes. I have noticed a difference in how my muscles are getting more tone. I am not dropping pounds like crazy, but feel healthy and am finally back in my pre-pregnancy pants. Good luck and take it day by day.
20lbs in 30 days? That's not even remotely healthy to lose 7-8lbs a week. I wouldn't count on any plan to do that. Jillian is a great way to do something to get moving. Just doing the 20 minute video each day won't get major results. You need more than 6 minutes of cardio to really lose weight.
The walking is great, so keep that up for sure. Once you feel up to it, try to get your heart pumping more with some running. You'll see results soon.
That is very true...I have got to get back into running. Thanks!
My current 6 pack and the fact that I was back in a bikini 3 mo pp would have to disagree.
But, I was very active before pregnancy.
I am still doing 30ds at least 3x a week. I've added in other videos to complement it. I love it b/c I don't really have more than 20 min a day for exercise.
Wow! Luck you. I was in GREAT shape pre pregnancy....but then was on bedrest for pretty much my entire pregnancy
So now I'm back at square one, and only have about 30 mins or so a day for exercise too..
I did the 30DS, but ultimately lost all of my weight by running. I run about 16 miles a week. Since February, when I got back into my routine, I've lost 40lbs. It seems like a lot to run, but really it's only an hour at the gym four or five times a week (I also do strength training and elliptical). It's really a good stress reliever, and I know it sounds crazy but it actually helps me sleep better when I'm active.
30 minutes a day for exercise is great! Just don't push yourself. It's taken me nine months to get the results I wanted by running. You will get there, you just have to stick with it and remember that it does take time. Good luck!
i have a workout video too, but with jillain from dwts its a dancing one but I want to geet more videos b/c i want to look swim suit ready plus want to start modeling by June at least...and my poor spine back needs work for sure!!!
I love it - it's short, I get a GREAT workout and I feel like it tones quickly. Haven't done it post-baby, yet. But I plan to. Soon!
Try it out and really stick to it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I disagree with this too. I've always worked out and am a fairly fit person, but I find Jillian's vidoes exteremly challenging and they work for me.
Its the specific combination of circuit training that helps you lose weight. Its not just 6 minutes of cardio becuase the strength exercises are actually cardio too. My heart is pounding for that entire 30 minutes, plus im strengthening muscle with the weights.
I'm not sure about the 20lbs in 30days, but I lost 11 lbs in 30 days and another 6 in the next month doing exclusively 30 Day Shred for the first month and then I added in a few of her other videos the second. I went down three pant sizes. And I didnt have a ton to lose. I am 5ft 8in and I went from 165 to 145 in about 3 months total. I was very committed and did it every single day for the first month though, then I cut back to about 5 days per week. I have never gotten those type of results from running.
I could see how a very overweight person could possibly lose 20 lbs if they really committed and incorporated diet as well.
