We went to a Christmas party this afternoon (only available date because this same group is running a train display at an area mall thru Jan 2nd), and while there, Saxton got into a jello salad. DH brings him to me, passing TWO sinks, and tells me that Saxton needs cleaned up.
I was floored. And irritated. I, unkindly, said, "Well then, back up 6 feet to the kitchen sink and clean him up!" and then turned my back on them.
I think livid would be a good description of how I felt about the whole matter since.
I *really* wanted to walk upstairs and call him a neanderthal and kick him in the balls. However, my common sense said to handle it rationally. (stoopid common sense)
Needless to say, the look on his face when I told him how much his actions irked me today, was priceless. Even more priceless, was hearing his heartfelt apology, followed by the words, "being responsable sucks. Especially when you have a 2 year old."
*snort*
I may still accidently kick him in the balls "in my sleep" tonight...
