Pack n Play Doesn't "Pack"

Humph, I was a little surprised to discover that our Graco Pack n Play doesn't completely pack up.  Only the "crib" fits in the carry bag -- but that leaves the bassinet attachment, changing table, and newborn napper, unpacked. Kind of pointless.

Re: Pack n Play Doesn't "Pack"

  • I have heard of that with some of them.  Especially the changing table part.

  • I hated our Pack n Play.  It's packed in its carrying bag plus a garbage bag since it doesn't all fit back in the stupid bag.  I had the worst time disassembling the darned thing too-I couldn't get the arms down!
  • You can't really use the "extra" attachements for long. Check the weight limits, but I believe some are only be able to be used until 15 lbs. I believe the changer can be used to 25 lbs, but you can change a baby anywhere.

Wasn't really a deal breaker for us.

  • Never actually used the diaper changing thing.  Its still out of the bag in the basement.  Everything else fits into the bag.  We took ours with DD everywhere.  Which reminds me I should pull that back out and wash the sheet/covers.
  • The changer won't. But the bassinet will. Take out the mattress take only one side of clips off the pnp. Reach down to pull up the floor then fold up. The bassinet part will stay there. Then wrap the mattress like you would and stick in the bag. Hope that makes sense but it can stay in there just the changer can not.
  • If your traveling the other parts are a hassle to try and take and set up anyways. The bassinet part will fit because it's just poles and a net.

I forgot about the poles. Just remove them then wrap with the pnp in the mattress.

  • I have an older model Graco and it would tightly pack all back up into the bag if I wanted to break it all down 100% but I am not about to do that especially with the changing table part which was annoying.  So I just pack away what I can and put the changing table and mobile in my other hand, mine doesn't have an additional bassinet attachment just the raised level bassinet so on mine it still packs.  Sorry for yours, that sucks.
  • Yup.  All PnP's are like this.  They really should state this in the description of the item!

  • maybe not related, but we don't call it Pack n Play where I am from.  We call them play pens.  No emphasis on "Pack"  So it didn't really occur to me that it should all go together.
