Hi Ladies. Well things did not go as planned,  as usual. My bloodwork revealed my estrogen was over 3000 yesterday and my u/s revealed as my dr called it "a belly full of eggs". I have a million follies now! He is worried about OHSS and wouldnt trigger me yesterday. He also told me they are now triggering with Lupron.He said that the hcg lets your eggs continue to grow and we didnt want that and the Lupron kinda stunts their growth wherever they are and then releases your natural LH. I take one two doses 12 hours apart. Anyone heard of this or done it? Those who used Lupron, how is that shot? Why do i remember people saying that one hurt?

Anywhoo, so the plan is to chill out over the weekend and pray my estrogen goes down. Sad part is that the 5 or so follies from the other day did great and were 20, 19, 18 and 17 so they would have been perfect to trigger, except i had a second wave behind it of all 13, 14, 15, and a few 16. He is hoping the first wave will die and the strongest of the second wave will mature and the rest till just sit there. Im so upset and tired of this roller coaster. I go for more bloodwork and an ultrasound on Monday to see what happened and then hopefully trigger tues or wed. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks hun. I am trying to see it that way but i almost see it as though it didn't work because i over responded. But i guess if we just adjust the dosage better next time, we should get it. Thanks for the response

Ugh I'm sorry!!  Don't worry about the Lupron, it's no big deal.  Feels just like a regular trigger shot.

I hope that the Lupron slows everything down and you have a successful cycle!  Good luck!

Thanks Jill! Ive actually never gotten to do a trigger shot before, is that one bad lol Does it have to go deeper into the muscle? I was hoping DH could do it for me.
