Trouble TTC

If you had/have a short luteal phase

What did your doc recommend and did it help?

I am making an apt. with my doctor to discuss this...is that what you even do I guess? Make an apt. but tell the receptionist it's for a consultation or something? I mentioned once to my doc that my luteal phase was 9 days and he didn't seem concerned but I kind of am. It was longer when I got pregnant 2 years ago and now it's always consistently 9 days. I think I need to do something but now sure what I can do. Thanks for listening and any help would be appreciated.

Re: If you had/have a short luteal phase

  • My doctor did a blood test and found that I only had 3mg (??) progesterone which is apparently super low for 7dpo.  That combined with a short lp made her choose to put me on progesterone.  Last cycle my lp was 14 days instead of 7.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

  • My dr wasn't super concerned about my 9 day LP either. But, she prescribed clomid and it jumped to 12. So, you may want to ask about it. I've also heard B6 can help but you should talk to your dr about that, too.
