Since we're on the topic of quilting...

How would you quilt this? It's basted (backed in that ice blue flannel!) and sitting in the room, just waiting to figure out what to do with it!

I was thinking it would be cool if I could machine quilt all the rectangles and then hand quilt a snowflake onto each off-white square. OR I could attempt stippling.... for the first time.... ever.

  • I think I'd practice stippling before attempting it on a quilt.  Which is why I've never stippled.

I would quilt the rows and get a few fun buttons to sprinkle along the top.  Maybe some shiny snowflakes.

  • I don't know, but it is freakin awesome.

Oh, I've done a few sample sandwiches before. I've attempted it, just not on an actual project!

    Quilt straight lines?

  • I'd do a big meandering loop-de-loop pattern all over the whole top.  (btw, I've been making gift bags with that fabric and thinking of you every time I'm working on them.  I met the Riley Blake designers last fall, they're super nice).
