Just when I thought my crappy week was through and I could enjoy the weekend, I have been having a dull toothache on and off since Sunday. It wasn't really bothering me until today and was told by the dentist office that after they do x-rays and determine what the treatment is, I will need a note from my OB to get permission for what type of pain meds/sedation they can use (it can be faxed over).
This blows! My OB is a one-doctor practice and is not readily available on the weekends, just his answering service. I really don't want to spend the rest of the weekend in pain because I have my 3D/4D elective u/s tomorrow at 1:30 (too late to cancel it now) and my shower on Sunday. I also cannot miss too much work. I was off Monday for dr appointments, left early on Tuesday to try to iron out bank issues, was late on Wednesday still dealing with the same issues and spent my lunch hour today running around to get our paychecks deposited. If they can't treat me tomorrow, I will have to miss part of the workday to get the dental work done and this is on top of a short work week.
I am so frustrated from all the issues we've had for the last two weeks. Between that and having to come up with $2k to give the OB for my deductible by week 34, we really couldn't afford to spend anymore money. We're late on our mortgage and we'll be paying utilities a bit late (mortgage being more important that the other bills), so I wasn't expecting a 'dental emergency'.
I feel like crying right now and can't take much more of sh!t that keeps going wrong. I know I'm not alone, but having dental issues just takes the cake. I can tolerate some pain, even cramps, but tooth pain just makes me mental ![]()
Re: My Weekend is Now Turning to Crap (Vent)
Here's the part that sucks the most: my OB's office closed at noon today and I was lucky to reach the dentist office since they are closed on Friday's. They had a couple of people there doing billing, so I was able to talk to someone.

I've been taking one tylenol every 4 hours. I probably could take two every 6 hours to manage the pain, but I don't want to overdo it b/c of LO.
