Had my consult today. Long story short, I had to have a 3 hr mri and an echocardiogram to make sure I don't have any AVM's anywhere internally; I have CM-AVM's which is just a fancy name for genetic birthmarks that could form internal AVM's (my sister has one in her thigh muscle.
I was so excited when he told me that I need to get my epi before 4 cm. My sister had issues with her and was contracting so hard when she finally asked for her epi, they couldn't give her the full dose. The head of anesthesia said that they want me completely still to avoid complications so that they needed to do it a little early so I am not having strong contractions during the insertion. I am just glad I know exactly when I am getting it because I know I would try to hold out or be confused when to ask, this takes the guess work out of it.
On a side note, I am officially having trouble wiping my butt :-( I have to contort to do it. DH said "I don't know if I love you enough to wipe your butt for you" lol
Re: anesthesia consult today and a tmi side note :-)
Yeah, just you wait!!!! I haven't been able to bend down to touch south of my knees for a while now, I get light headed and my lips start to tingle like they aren't getting enough blood....yeah awesome.
