Long shot but has anyone bought a bat or toad house on Etsy?

lol - It's a house for toads!  You put them in your yard or garden and it gives them a little sheltered home, and they in turn eat the bugs.  My step-dad is always making them out of pop bottles and random stuff so I thought a pretty one might be a nice addition to the garden.

Haha - after I hit Post, I thought, "I wonder if I'm making this more complicated than necessary - maybe it's just a house for toads." lol.  Anyway, that's a really neat gift idea!

It never occurred to me to build my toads a house. I think this would get the side-eye from the hubs if I proposed it...

My toads are rediculously abundant with no house to call their own, I shudder to think what would happen if I provided them a comfy shelter!

Bat boxes are fairly easy to make though- I've even made a handful and I'm not a handy person.

Do you have a tutorial or instructions you follow for them?  It might be fun to make one, now that I think about it!

I know there are some at the office, but I have a year off.  I'll call the girl replacing me and ask her to scan the file for me. 

ETA- she's working in the field for the next couple of days, so I won't be able to get it for you till next week unless I can find a similar resource online.

No worries!  I probably won't have time to take on another project until we get through Thanksgiving anyway, so that will work fine.
