I thought this was a fun one since many of these names are making a comeback.
Can you name the 100 most popular U.S. Baby Girl Names (1920s)?

Post your score, discuss your experience, and I think it would be neat to tell which of these names are your favorites or on your name list?
I got 26 of 100. Of course, the cat was tearing up the furniture and the baby started crying so I probably would have scored better if not for that (at least that's what I tell myself).
Re: Another Name Quiz
43 out of 100.
And I just realized it was only girl names....
Angel Baby: 5/29/08
I scored 36/100, including getting the top 5 correct. I'm surprised at some of the ones I missed, they seemed so obvious, but there were others that didn't make me think 1920 at all.
ETA: I couldn't use any family names at all (all foreign names). I just went by movie stars, President's wives and the names of women on 1950s & 1960s sitcoms.
I didn't do so great on that one: You got 29 out of 100 100 most popular U.S. Baby Girl Names (1920s).
I can't believe some of the ones I missed: Helen, Josephine, Margaret, Shirley, Thelma, Edith and Lucille, all of which are in my extended family.
Some of my favorites on the list: Anna, Lillian, Grace, Beatrice, Clara, Julia, Vivian, Eva and Charlotte.
Other thoughts:
- Willie makes me laugh.
- I can't believe Lillie (but not Lily) was on the list. That is a spelling I haven't really seen.
- Although I knew the sweetest lady named Geraldine, I think it is a horrible name. It always makes me think of the boy name Gerald/Jerald.
- I was surprised to see Ella on the list.
- All of my grandmothers' names made the list, except Clarice.
- I always thought Marion/Marian were the male and female spellings respectively, but I guess they were both popular for females at one time.
