Home decor gurus: photo wall ideas for loooong hallway?

This is a photo of the long hallway that leads from our front door all the way back to the family room (which is where I stood to take the pic).  I'm looking for a nicer, clean-looking way to display family photos along the way, but can't seem to find the right phrase to google for examples.  Any ideas?

I think doing a bunch of little frames will look way too messy.  I would do bigger pieces.  I'd do 2 long and narrow pieces of artwork -- or family pics -- done on canvas in that first section of wall before you get to that door on the right.  I'd do the same long and narrow pieces on that next section of wall but maybe 3 of them there.    There's a website, mpix.com, that does canvas type prints without being too expensive.

I agree that you need a few bigger, more substantial pics in there.  I would remove the shelf and add a few larger rectangular prints on your walls.

Costco also has canvas prints and have free shipping on them right now.
