For those that failed the glucose test...

Stupid question.. but did your doctor call you right away when he or she got the results or did they wait until your next appointment to let you know? I would assume they would call right away but just looking for confirmation. I took my test a few weeks ago and I have not heard anything, so I assume no news is good news..? I'd hate to call the OB office to bug them to check.

They told me they would call within 24-48 hours if I failed (and they did) and if I didnt hear from them, it was good news.

I just had my glucose test done yesterday and my Dr. told me that they would call me if my results came back showing a problem. So good test results and I would get no call. I would not worry about bugging them at all! If you want to double check I would say call for sure!

If you fail the 1 hr, then you have to go back and do a 3 hr within a few days.  So they generally call you back within 24 hours so they can schedule the 3 hr if needed.

I failed the 1 hr but passed the 3 hr so no GD.  I got my results both times within 24 hrs.

Thanks ladies! I didn't think to ask about this at my appt for some reason. I come in armed with questions sometimes and other times my mind goes completely blank

I had to email my OB's office to get an answer. Otherwise, they probably would have told me next week during my appointment.

I passed mine but my results came through email within 2 days of the test. I assume they would be calling the first business day they get the results if there was a problem.

They were supposed to call me either way the same day, but after I still hadn't heard from them 3 days later, I called and found out that I had failed.  The same thing happened with the 3 hour, butI only waited 2 days to call them that time.  Good luck!

My doctor was out of the country when I did mine so I wasn't sure who would get my results in her practice.

She said if I didn't hear anything then I passed, and that if I got nervous to call, but I'm not anxious - that's routine for her practice.

I have an appointment Monday so I guess she'll tell me otherwise then!

I just found out today that I didn't pass and I took my test over a week ago. Even then, they said they wouldn't be scheduling the follow up 3hr test for a few weeks. Looks like it could be a month before they get me in there! Although, I will say that the nurse that called me today seemed lto think someone had already spoken with me about this, so perhaps someone else dropped the ball and they were supposed to call sooner *shrug*
