Cloth Diapering

Goodmama

I want to buy a Goodmama fitted, but I'm perplexed.  I love the patterns, but don't you just have to cover them up?  What covers do you use with your GM's?

Re: Goodmama

  • I use wool or fleece with mine.  Sometimes an econobum or a blueberry cover.  Yes they get covered up, but don't all diapers get covered by pants?  Its like pretty panties, they are covered up but you know they are under there!

  • Yes, sadly, you do have to cover fitteds.  BUT: not around the house!  We use primarily Goodmamas exclusively these days because they are one of the few fitteds that fit DS perfectly and that he doesn't pee through in half an hour.  When we are kickin' it around the house, he goes coverless and I throw on a pair of Babylegs.  Then I just change his diaper when it starts to feel slightly damp on the outside, which is usually like every two hours.  If I have to run somewhere I know we won't be very long, I can usually throw on a pair of pants over the fitted without the cover and he'll be fine if I change him before we leave.  Fitteds are wonderful, you'll feel the love.  I had the same reservations at first.  GL!  :)

  • yeah, it won't stop me...was just wondering, lol!  I have a couple blueberry covers already, maybe I'll get the batter up one and give it a try with that cover...thanks!

  • I also have DD go coverless around the house.  I am right by her anyway so if she dirties it I just change it right away.  I cover them for overnights or outings.
