Headed to my OB :(

I posted yesterday about concerns over lack of movement- she is normally very active.  Well I did 'kick' counts in the afternoon and was only feeling her every now and again.  Then I woke up three different times last night with a painful contraction that was also in my back each time.  I laid in bed for about an hour and a half (skipping my class) and didn't feel her, so I called my OB.  I'm waiting for a call back from the nurse, but they lady I talked to said they will most definitely have me come in.

I feel kinda dumb, but I'm really worried about her.  She is normally SO active with hard, distinct movements.

Why do you feel dumb about worrying?? It would be very weird if you were NOT worried! Something feels different and you're having pains - you are reacting totally normally.

If they don't call you back very soon, I'd call again - or just head over. You have to get checked so that you know things are ok.

Dont feel dumb....I would be worried too if my LO wasnt as active since he moves ALL the time as well!! It is normal to worry about LO.  Good luck today and T&P's with you and baby!!

As previous posters have mentioned, don't feel dumb.  They want you to get checked out if something is off. That is what they do for a living.

My T's & P's are with you.  I was feeling that way last week then all of sudden she starting moving like crazy otherwise I would have been at my OB in heartbeat.  I think it's completely normal that you are concerned.

Sounds like you are doing exactly what we are supposed to.  I had DH come home early so he could walk the dogs yesterday because I was having a lot of BHs yesterday and decided to impose rest on myself.  I asked him if he thought I did the right thing or if I over reacted and he said, "you can't over react right now."  If it feels like there might be something wrong, its important not to ignore that feeling.  T&Ps LO is ok and just having a lazy day.  Keep us posted.

Good luck! Let us know how everything goes! Like PP said, hopefully she's just in some weird position that you can't feel her as strongly. Eric had verrry decreased movement last night & I couldn't sleep because I just tried and tried to feel him, luckily this morning he hasn't sat still so I'm pretty relieved. Maybe she's just exhausted from all the moving she normally does!!
