At my first appointment on Saturday, I had a student doctor go over most of the info with us, including foods to avoid. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but she said shrimp was one to avoid..
But now that I look at some other lists, they say shrimp is fine (as far as mercury level). Has anyone else been told to avoid shrimp? I'll ask my own doctor at my next appointment in December, but I'm very curious!
Re: Shrimp?
Nope, never heard this.
My doctor said 6-10 oz of fish is fine (and encouraged). Just no "top of the food chain fish" like shark.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

I went today and shrimp was ok (along with salmon, tuna, lobster, and maybe a couple others)
The ones to avoid are shark, tilefish , clams, oysters & muscles
When I asked she said in moderation, but to make sure its well cooked... Does anyone even eat raw shrimp?
Anyways I plan on having a shrimp tempura roll next time hubby wants sushi.
I wonder if she did mean raw shrimp.. But I agree, who does eat it raw? Eww!
