A Day Filled with Appointments

I am so exhausted as I type this I've been non-stop from 8am and didn't get home until 6pm tonight. I saw the OB, endocrinologist and met DH at his dietician appointment (he was diagnosed as a type II diabetic 6 weeks ago).

At the OB's office, everything looked great, squishy was moving and dancing around, fluid levels were perfect and I still had no answers as to why I ended up in L&D over a week ago for contractions. I am personally chalking it up to extreme stress.

LO was still breech and seems to be very comfortable sitting in pretty much the exact same spot. His head is below my ribs, his back is facing my right side and all limb movements are on the left side. OB told me that in the coming weeks we'll have to keep track of his position and try a few techniques to get him to flip around. Otherwise, I will end up having a c-section :(

Endocrinoligist appointment was fine, except for the 2 hours worth of waiting, but my TSH levels were 2.14, I felt perfectly fine and have more energy now that I ever had (which is odd since I'm in the 3rd tri). Dr was surprised that I have responded so well to the 75 mcg of Synthroid and hadn't needed to up any dosage since June/July. He thought I'd be taking 200 mcg per day, but was thrilled that I have been doing fine.

Other than that, we spent nearly three hours at DH's appointment trying to nail down a meal plan, disspell myths about diabetes and food, and a number of things. I'm too tired to go into detail, so I will just say that we learned a lot from today and that he's not as limited in his choices as he originally thought, he just needs to to what in his diet he needs to moderate.

So at least for him, Thanksgiving will not be a total letdown a he originally thought.
