Im gearing up for a day of outlet shopping tomorrow and see the forecast is calling for rain. Will I be in the rain, or are the walkways covered like most Tangers?

If youve been please weigh in.

Oh & I also want to hit up Target while out that way. Im coming from GSO on 40. Isnt there a big Target right off the highway going towards burlington on the left? If so is it the Elon area? Thanks!

There is a big target in elon right off the highway that i've stopped at several times that is really nice.

The walkways are mostly covered, so you should be ok.  There are parts that are uncovered, though. 

Also, if you plan to eat lunch while you're there, the only thing open at the outlets (as of last Monday when we went anyway) is a Subway.

Hopefully the parking won't be so bad since you'll be there on a Tuesday, but it has been a NIGHTMARE so far. We stopped by quickly on our way to Raleigh Friday night about 30 minutes before they closed and parking was insane. Yesterday on our way back people were parked along the edge almost back to the main entrance.

Me too B! Im hoping a Tues at noon wont be so bad. Ill prob grab lunch on my way down. Ive been avoiding the weekends for that very reason.....hopefully the rain will help me out too.

All I'm going to say is Good Luck!  I have a $20 gift certificate and I'm not even going to go out there and use it!  Hopefully a rainy Tuesday will be a good day to go

Most of the walkways are covered.  They have a subway, and on Sunday they had a couple carts with food.  I didn't find that many of the stores were true outlets (which I find is true at a lot of places).  The Bass outlet was pretty good.  I only ended up spending $3.00...we saw the whole place in 3 hours and that includes about 30 minutes of lunch.  I don't plan to go back any time soon.

Ditto this! I have heard it's insane even during the week. I'm gonna wait till after Christmas to venture out there! Good luck!!
