Hello!
I just joined, and am excited to see what your opinions are on our future LO's name. (We are not finding out the sex).
What are your thoughts on:
Tabitha
Elias (Afraid it may sound girly because of the Ell trend)
Lida (concerned it might sound too close to daughters' nn, Lena)
Elsa
Scarlett
My questions are:
1. My favorite name for a baby girl right now is Scarlett. Unfortunately, my DH is set on using the nn Lettie. I say unfortunately b/c I think it is way too close to Lena & Leo. We didn't plan on having L names, Lena's full name is Eleanor. Should I try to break my husband of the habit, or drop the name all together?
2. Obviously we have only one boy name (Elias). Any suggestions?
Re: Stop the alliteration?
I don't mind alliteration sometimes. Lena (Eleanor, especially) and Leo are great names. Lida is a nice name. I knew a Lida and she was a sweet girl. I'm not fond of Scarlett, but I do love Tabitha and most forms of Elizabeth (Elsa, Eliza, etc.) Alliteration can be annoying, but considering that Lena's full name is Eleanor, it makes it way more tolerable for some reason.
Boy name suggestions... Lucius, Simon, Hugh, Pierce, Milo, Eli, Owen, Julius, Edgar, Jack, Felix, Axel, Abram, Levi, William, Gilbert, Ethan, Silas, Louis, Emil, Archie, Tobias...
Those suggestions came from https://nymbler.com - I just entered Leo and Elias and it spat out possible names you'd like.

I like Tabitha
sick of scarlett
Elsa reminds me of cows
Lida (pronounced ? LEEda? I like it if that is how it is pronounced, but too close to lena
The only Elias I know is one of my favorite little boys. He is definitely into trucks and dogs and boy stuff, but the name fits him.
As far as girl names, I think Lida is too close to Lena. Elsa isn't bad either, and i agree with you about the NN Lettie. No No No!

Elias is my FAVORITE boy's name. I don't think it is too feminine personally. Maybe we have the same taste in boys names? Here's the other names on our list:
