What's so great about pillow pals?

I keep seeing them mentioned on here and we have them for a good price ($20) right at our Wal Mart.  So it's not hard to pick up some, but I don't get it. The ladybug one would be cool for DD, who is super into ladybugs, but she already has big ladybug pillows.  And the bee doesn't look that cute to me.  What am I missing, because I have not finished shopping for them yet.  (I tend to be slow at these things and kick myself later, but I don't want to spend money unnecessarily.)

  • They are commercialized and have a trendy little song that kids love.  With that said, they are cute though and turn from a stuffed animal to a full size pillow.  My kids like theirs.  You can get them at BB&B cheaper with coupons.  Great Xmas present.

  • I bought them for the kids last year when the commercials were all over the place. Neither one of the kids care too much about them.

  • I don't get the big deal, either. I told my kids they were more than welcome to sleep on one of their stuffed animals, but I'm not paying $20 for a pillow pet. I don't jump on the bandwagon of hot trend toys, though. My kids don't ever end up liking those types of things. They have their toys they like, and they don't tend to like other stuff.
  • It's funny, I've only even heard of them on the bump. I guess my kids odn't watch the channels with these commercials.

  • We don't watch commercials, so I guess she learned about them at preschool. She's been talking about them for weeks.

We saw some at a mall kiosk last week and I thought her eyes were going to fall out of her head. She's entranced by them. She wants either a giraffe or a purple unicorn. Not the cutest ones IMO, but whatever.

I saw some at costco for $20 too. I'll have to go look at BBB to see what they have.

You don't need to watch TV to know about them. They're in every CVS, Walgreen's, Walmart, BB&B, and even the grocery stores in my area.

This. You can't go to any store without seeing them.

Guess I live under a rock then.

  • That rock would be a lot more comfy with a Pillow Pet. You know you want one. Stick out tongue
