I keep hearing differing opinions on glider use with twins...some say you use it all the time...others say not as much with twins. I'm just trying to decide how much of an investment I want to make.
The problem is you can't hold both while sitting in it if you're planning on using it to feed. I use it to rock one at a time, but never both. So just think about what you're going to use it for.
I got a huge cushy rocking recliner and use it everyday. I tandem feed in it and we sit together in it when I read bedtime stories. My DH uses it to rock the babies during the night. I don't think I would have used a glider as much simply because we all wouldn't fit and the arms typically aren't very cushioned...I use the arms to help balance the babies when BFing.
We moved it into our room and love having it there to rock a sick baby, or feed one really early in the AM. I am so glad we have it. I also slept in it towards the end of my pregnancy.
When they were little, I spent ALOT of time bouncinng on an exercise ball to soothe. But I did occasionally use the glider. I used it to nurse, or bottle feed sometimes. If you nap them separately, the glider is available to use with baby in that room...not always the right room!
I use it more now! It's great for soothing for a few minutes before bed/nap with fussy toddler.... or snuggling in after a nap.
We ended up getting a used one on craiglist for $100. It's an older model Dutalier....which is great. Totally worth the money if you ask me. We would like another one for our bedroom.

I second this! The exercise ball saved our lives. My daughter was cranky every night about 5pm and this was the ONLY way to get her to calm down plus it got any gas bubbles out..

Re: How much do you use your glider?
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
