UPDATE: T&P's needed for a fam. back home, BR (extremely sad)

I asked for T&P's for a family friend back home a while back because she was about as far along as me, went into labor and they didn't expect the baby to live.  Well, with more information, she is NOT as far along as me, so it is a really dangerous situation.  The baby still has a heartbeat, but mom and baby are filling with excess fluid, and baby's heart is seriously straining.  They found out through ultrasound that baby has extra fluid on his brain and heart, and the doctor said he has "so many things wrong it would take a major miracle for him to survive even at full term."  

Well, they are having to induce labor today.  They only expect baby boy to live about two hours.  The excess fluid is putting baby and momma at serious risk.  

This is after the momma's uncle committed suicide last weekend.  The family is just a mess, as well would be expected.  The Grandma, it was her son that committed suicide, is doing very badly- she is loosing her son and her first great grandchild in the course of a week.  

So, please, ladies, when you send up some t&p's, please don't forget this family! 

 

**Her baby was born about 7pm tonight, and only lived about 5 minutes.  Major thoughts and prayers for this family please!

I had the same exact thing happen during my first pregnancy. I had a family member due within 6 weeks of me. 2 days after my son was born, her son was born with the same condition as your friend and died within hours of birth.
