3D Ultrasound = FAIL

Scheduled our 3D ultrasound today and got a whole lot of nothing as baby did not cooperate.  Baby was face down and did not move the entire time, no matter what we did.  Any suggestions for what to do to make baby more active next time? I ate before I went but apparently what I ate put the baby to sleep. 

On a happier note, I got the results of my 1 hr GTT and I passed.  I'm thrilled I don't have to take the 3hr.

What'd you eat? Sometimes a little juice right before might help. Sweets always help make DS active

My LO is super active at morning appointments and OJ helps!

two small meatballs since it was between appointments and I just didn't want to have an empty stomach..

I think I'll def try sugar next time.  The tech gave me water and had me trying to giggle my belly, but nothing worked.

They told me to drink juice 30 minutes before my appointment...I also had a piece of chocolate.

I would say try to pick an appt. time that coincides with the time of day LO is normally active.  Cold water right before or something with sugar.  Although if you overload on sugar, LO might be too active and you won't get a good shot or good measurements because LO won't sit still.

We wen't for ours on Wednesday and I drank orange juice  before and he woulnd't cooperate either.  We go back in 3 weeks to try again.  My tech suggested drinking caffine before my next appt.  Hopefully he will drop by then so we can get a good pic.  Good luck to you.
