For November 29th.
They didn't tell me what that includes though. I'm just going to assume it doesn't include an ultrasound, and then if it does I'll be surprised. I'm not hopeful though, since my insurance only covers "Medically necessary ultrasounds." and states that "confirmation of estimated gestational age is not a medically necessary indication."
Either way I'm happy to get in before December YAY
Re: Finally got to schedule first appt!
Yay! My guess is they'll weigh you, take your history, have you pee in a cup (to make sure you are keeping yourself hydrated, etc.) and do blood draws to confirm the pregnancy and do testing.
You might have a pap smear done, too.

PROJECT BALANCING ACT: BIO and BLOG- yeah... needs to be updated.
Ironically I had one done exactly one week before my BFP, so I should be good on that one. Thanks for the info
I was really hoping to get in earlier because my father is coming to visit for Thanksgiving week, and I was hoping to have been to the doctor BEFORE telling him. Instead my appt is 2 days after he leaves.
DH is Army and we have Tricare... that is what our insurance policy is on ultrasounds as well but I think every post/care giver is different. When I went in to see my nurse for the blood draw, pee in a cup, etc she scheduled my first prenatal appointment for Nov 15th and said that they'll be doing an ultrasound to date the baby and it is covered.
So it's possible that you'll get one before 20 weeks, it just depends on your doctor.
