Never have time to do anything! (vent)

I guess I should start by saying that I'm off from work on Mondays & Fridays, DH on Fridays.

For the past week or so I've noticed that my right arm and hand have been extremely cold, even when I'm wearing 2 sweaters. I googled and found out that it could be a number of things: circulation problems, thyroid issue, etc. So I made a dr's appt for tomorrow because DH is (allegedly) off on Fridays. Well apparently we got our signals crossed because he has to work mandatory overtime tomorrow. He'll be off on Monday next week for a funeral (so he'll work Friday), so I changed the appt to late Monday afternoon. Now that's a problem for DH too & we keep going back & forth via e-mail about this. His first suggestion was that I take DD with me...how exactly does that work?

Why does this need to be a discussion? I changed my appt around to work with him & he's still complaining. Whenever he wants to go get a haircut, or go to the doctor/dentist, or go play basketball or whatever, I'm home with DD, usually not complaining. I don't even want to do anything fun, I just want to find out what's going on with my arm. Grrrrrrr, I want to scream Super Angry

  • Oh boo!  Tell him to get it together!  Sometimes they just don't 'get it'.  It's not like you want him to keep her while you read a book, you have a doc appointment.

Tell him what I tell H 'for the love of my sanity, will you just do xyz'!

  • He definitely doesn't get it. I hate times like these because I'm not that best at compromise, but I feel like I did & this is what I get for it.

  • Kind of unreasonable to think that you could take a 10mo old with you to a doctors appt. No way you could concentrate on the doctor if you were trying to keep her from putting every nasty thing in the doctor's room in her mouth (at least that's how i'm picturing a trip with my little guy). Plus, sounds like something you should get checked out sooner rather than later.....Hope it works out!

  • Yes, a trip to the doctor with her would be pointless, and I think he gets that now. I'm going on Monday, thanks : )
