2nd time + moms

I want to know the difference in quality from the Gap jeans to designer jeans like 7 of man kind? I was at a consignment store, and they had a few pairs of the designer jeans, for $92.00, but they looked of better quality and that they'd last?

I just ordered some gap jeans so we'll see how they work out.

  • $92 seems like a ton to pay on second hand jeans. We sell designer jeans for $45 or 50 at my consignment store. I had a pair of designer skinny jeans last pregnancy only because they were not making maternity skinny jeans at Gap or Old Navy back then. They were nice but I outgrew them and cannot fit into them this pregnancy. Now I just wish I had that money back. I think Gap has quality items at reasonable prices.

  • How long do I need maternity jeans to last? I mean, my usual ON jeans get at least a year of heavy wear. That's two pregnancies worth if they fit from month 3-9.

Designer jeans are about the name and the fit, not durability. If you want them, get them, but they're not a better deal.

This. I wear jeans to work every day so I wash them a ton. Designer jeans don't hold up well to repeat washing and I don't think you're supposed to dry them very much, which doesn't work for me at all :) I like Gap and Old Navy maternity jeans the best.
